We are hiring the people who form the structure.

This is a broad, hands-on role combining business development, product, strategy, market research, partnerships and execution. We are looking for someone with a founder mindset, comfortable working outside narrowly defined responsibilities, taking ownership of ambiguous problems and driving them through to concrete results.

Our initial focus is on building a banking proposition around deposits and savings, payments and consumer credit, with the potential to expand later into AI-powered financial services, mortgages, business banking and other products.

• researching European markets, competitors, customer needs and product opportunities;
• supporting the assessment of potential jurisdictions for a banking licence;
• identifying and working with legal, regulatory and industry advisors;
• reaching out to potential partners, vendors and industry experts;
• developing and validating new banking and financial products;
• preparing market analyses, business cases and decision materials;
• supporting company formation and market-entry activities;
• travelling for meetings, research and business development where useful.

A key requirement is being highly capable with modern AI tools and automation.

We are specifically looking for someone comfortable working with Claude/Codex, Git, AI-assisted coding and MCP-based tools. You should have practical experience building your own automations, research tools, integrations or workflows that improve how you work.

You do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be comfortable working with code and technical systems and capable of building lightweight solutions yourself.

Experience in banking, fintech, product management, business development, consulting or early-stage technology companies would be particularly relevant.

Our preferred location is Riga, Latvia.

We are also open to candidates elsewhere in the EU, particularly Germany and Austria, and would be especially interested in German-speaking candidates. Candidates based in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy or other EU countries are also welcome.

Candidates must have the legal right to work in the country where they are based.

For a Riga-based position, the base salary starts from €6,000 gross per month (€72,000 gross per year).

This is a starting point rather than a fixed ceiling, and compensation will depend on the candidate's experience, capabilities and overall profile.

For candidates based elsewhere in Europe, compensation may be adjusted depending on location and market conditions.
